How this calculator works

Reconstituted peptides are measured by concentration — how many micrograms of peptide sit in every millilitre of liquid once the bacteriostatic water has been added. This tool takes your vial size, the water you added, and your target dose, then converts that into a plunger position on a standard U-100 insulin syringe, where 100 units equals 1 ml.

Units to draw = (Water added in ml × Desired dose in mcg) ÷ (Peptide amount in mg × 10)

A few reconstitution tips

  • Let refrigerated vials and water reach room temperature before mixing, and always inject the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial rather than directly onto the powder.
  • Swirl gently instead of shaking — vigorous shaking can damage the peptide structure.
  • Store reconstituted peptides in the refrigerator and use within the timeframe recommended by your supplier.
